My books are spread out between three different spots in my apartment, and on a proper bookshelf in my bedroom in Vermont. I’ve read the books pictured here, except the physics books on the bottom left that I only ever partly read on planes because they have an odd calming effect on me.  I also haven’t finished Flaubert’s Sentimental Education, which in the movie Manhattan is named a reason life is worth living by Woody Allen’s character. I would argue The Bell Jar is the same.

So, that’s all to say that these are the kind of books I like. And now I need book recommendations…

  1. Greg Says:

Best internet quote of the last 30 days:

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs. ”

But seriously, all that Ayn Rand can’t be healthy.
